Dance Teams
Dance Team teaches students the value of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Fostering confidence and belonging, Dance Team gives children a strong sense of identity and community. Dance Team members learn responsibility, respect for teachers and teammates.
Dance Team is an investment in character and community—one that leaves a lasting impact long after their final performance.
Dance Teams...
- Compete at local and regional competitions.
- Practice and train multiple times a week in various genres.
- Learn several different routines in different styles so dancers have the opportunity to try everything.
- Have monthly team bondings to inspire community and friendships among the dancers.
- Leadership opportunities throughout the studio as the younger dancers always admire their skill and work ethic.
Prepare
Students preparing to audition for Dance Teams are recommended to take Ballet, Acro, and a performance class. Other classes that would expand your dancer’s skill set are progressions and turns.
Information
Every year we hold a Dance Team Informational meeting about the upcoming season, the updated practice schedule, and any changes taking effect. We always recommend anyone who is interested in Dance Teams to attend! This is a great way for you and your dancer to get all the Information.
Meeting = Monday, May 4th, 7-8 PM
Auditions
Auditions will be held in June after our end of season production. Encourage your dancer to come even if you are nervous! Auditions are very fun and sometimes your dancer just needs your encouragement!!
Dance Team Auditions = Tuesday, June 16th, in the afternoon
Dance Team Parent/Dancer Meeting = Wednesday, June 17th, 6-7 PM
